R.I.P. Savannah "Sissy" Hathaway

I am so deeply sorry to say that on December 26th at 3:00 am our lovely puppy Savannah slipped away to eternal dog days! We loved her so much and she is missed by all.

But her time had come and we are just grateful she went peacefully at her own time, in her own home, in her own bed with her people in constant attendance.

Savannah was with us for nearly 16 years. She came to us on Valentines day when she was just 6 weeks old. She loved chasing squirrels and tennis balls. While she was around no squirrels dared enter the yard there's not a man around who could get her ball from her save her dad! She was just shy of her 16th birthday (Jan 5th) when she passed.

May she finds a million squirrels to chase and a nice warm lap to climb upon in heaven!

Christmas 2009

It has been a very busy year! And a very exciting one. Stephanie came back home from School and started her post college college plans! She decided to return to school and work on a Physical Therapy degree! So... At least three more years for her now!

In July we had all the family here for Courtney and Jim's Wedding (my sister's daughter got married here in July). It was a wonderful and busy time. Everything turned out wonderful as you saw in the pictures. In spite of poor old Savannah having her tail cut off just weeks before the wedding. She was a mess!

Then our trip to Ireland and only 6 days later Steve and I were off to a fairytale wedding in Chicago at the Drake. Our friends Justin and Mehgan got married and it was THEE most lavish and beautiful wedding I have ever seen. We had a wonderful time. Then back just in time for all of the holiday craziness to ramp up.

In spite of the busy summer and fall I did have time to get my shopping done and Christmas cards out. It was the first year in many that I had not been at the last minute sending out cards after the holiday and then only the ones I had gotten finished. So here are a few pictures of the tree and Stephanie and her boyfriend bear!

Thanksgiving 2008

Bear and Stephanie at Thanksgiving Dinner! We had some other folks, but these two were really hungry! Spent the holiday relaxing and then the day after Steve and Bear did some fishing. Stephanie was bored to death because she didn't have a licnese. I would have sent more pictures but all 25 look like this one.
A little earlier in the month Bear, Steve and Steph went shooting in the desert and so I included some of those pictures. I figured you were probably sick of seeing the Ireland Stuff!
More to come I am just getting time now to catch up the blog!
